How posting a job works

No account, no app, just a short form.

  1. Describe the job

Say what needs doing, where in London, and when suits you.

  2. We review it

We check the details and look for a suitable local tradesperson.

  3. You’re contacted

If someone can take it on, they get in touch to discuss or quote.

  4. You decide

Agree the price and timing directly, or simply say no thanks.

Typical jobs

The kind of jobs people post

Small, practical tasks that don’t need a full project, but do need someone who knows what they’re doing.

How matching works

One description, passed on to the right trade

We read each job and try to pass it to an independent tradesperson who covers that kind of work and your part of London. We can’t promise every job will be taken up, but a clear description and a few photos give it the best chance.

  • Your details are only shared to arrange the job
  • No obligation to accept any quote
  • The agreement for the work is between you and the tradesperson

FAQ

Posting a job: questions

How it works for homeowners and tenants.

Does it cost anything to post a job?

No. Posting a job is free and there’s no obligation to go ahead with anyone who contacts you.

Is this a recruitment site?

No. This page is for homeowners and tenants describing jobs they need doing. We don’t advertise employment vacancies.

Who will do the work?

An independent tradesperson. Any agreement about price, timing and workmanship is between you and them, so please check they’re right for the job before agreeing.

Is every job taken up?

We can’t guarantee it. Very small or unusual jobs may not suit anyone available, but a clear description helps.

What should I check before agreeing?

Ask for a written quote, check any qualifications relevant to the work, such as for gas or electrical jobs, and agree when payment is due.

Can I post several small jobs together?

Yes. A short list of odd jobs in one home is often easier to arrange than a single tiny task.

I’m a tenant. Can I post a job?

For repairs your landlord is responsible for, check with them first. For your own small jobs, yes.

Do you handle emergencies?

No. For gas leaks call the National Gas emergency number, and for urgent issues contact an appropriate emergency service.

Is the tradesperson insured?

Each tradesperson works independently and we can’t vouch for their cover, so ask them directly for proof of insurance and any relevant qualifications before agreeing to work.
